Have had the DUO 1060 it for six weeks now, using it every day and so far very pleased. The pedometer is a very useful feature which I use during jogging/running (shows distance,speed, time elapsed). Also during running/jogging/walking records a whole load of data e.g max/min speed & max/min heart rate (if wearing the chest strap), calories & fat burned. Equally in the gym all workout data is recorded on the watch and the chest strap transmits the heart-rate to the gym equipment so heart-rate is displayed on the treadmill etc screens. Touching the watch with one finger gives an instant heart-rate reading which is a nice feature as a reading taken anytime during the day and it appears to be pretty accurate. On the chest strap there is a cover over the battery so that it can be accessed for replacing, unlike my last watch where I had to replace the whole strap.
The watch itself is a little bit heavy and bulky which can be annoying during daily wearing but not a problem during...

When I run I like to keep a log of when i do and how far I've gone. Runners who run every day or who are pros probably don't need one of these - just a watch that does splits. However if you work and run irregularly having a device that tracks your distance is very useful especially for setting goals. This watch comes with a heart rate monitor but you'll need the extra foot pod to track distances. The HRM lets you know which "zone" you are in to let you target fitness or anaerobic speed, It sends its data wirelessly to your PC via a small USB dongle and crucially unlike the Polar watches it is also Mac compatible. The display is very nice and clearly legible when running. It is more akin to the forerunner 300 & 400s with customizable screens. It is much better than the previous forerunner 50 (which I have too). It does lack GPS but then again the price is a league lower than the cheapest GPS watch. - Original Device Faulty, Replacement Dreamy
UPDATE: Based on my original review, I gave this product 1 star. Since returning the device and doing more research, I decided the FR60 really was head and shoulders above the rest for what i need. The Amazon returns process was so fast and hassle free, I figured I could work under the assumption that the original problem I had was a one-off and order another FR60. If I had the same problem again, I could just return it.

Happily, I did not get the same problem again. And I've explored the features of the watch more fully, and am absolutely sure this is the best HRM out there for ~

- Excellent HR Watch
I bought this watch for Polars HR functionality and it does what it says on the tin. No weird spikes at start of training, immediate response to change of intensity. Ability to detect your zones or manually override is good. Also there are various different screens which you can customise what is displayed during the training session.

Also got the Footpod which is very accurate when correctly calibrated, however calibration factor will vary between terrain, different running shoes and if you change your running style at different paces. The calibration is never off by more then 5% as the manual states but imagine running an extra 5% of a marathon. I now have a list of calibration factors for each situation but if the watch had the ability to reset calibration factor during a training run without stopping the watch then this would be a huge benefit.

Overall The HR/watch rocks and the footpod is brilliant when its calibrated correctly but it does take some time to...
- Good HRM, shame about the connectivity
I use this heart-rate-monitor (HRM) daily when I'm running and cycling and once you've gone through the process of setting it up, it takes seconds to get going. The watch is comfortable to wear on the wrist and the buttons are large enough to be easily accessible even when jogging or cycling about. The screen is also large enough to be clear without having to stop and stare at it. The watch also packs a bunch of additional features such as a fitness test which I have found to be in-step with a Cooper fitness assessment and a fitness log to keep track of your workouts. You can also program the watch with various work-outs so that you can easily change settings without having to re-enter targets and training times.

The downsides I have found to this watch are:
- The case can be marked quite easily. This includes both the face of the watch and the rubber outer.
- You need to buy additional accessories if you want to liberate your training data for analysis, but...

this product arrived promptly even at Christmas. It is everything I wanted and I am still working out all the extras on it. Definitely going to improve my training.

- It's a watch for narrow wrists!
I had to send it back because I couldn't fit it around my wrist! My wrists are just over 8 inches circumferance and the watch would only just close around the wrist but with a pinch! After a few minutes of exercise it would ping off!
The description wasn't clear and to be fair Amazon refunded me for the watch and postage.
- Ladies heart rate monitor
I bought this as the description had everything I needed at a good price. Unfortunately it should be labelled for ladies as the watch strap is very small, I have small wrists and i'm using the last hole. That aside the functions are very good and useful and its easy to set up and use. It also doesn't look that bad to were as an every day watch. The heart rate sensor is very comfortable and after a while you forget your wearing it. Over all its not a bad bit of kit just don't buy it if you have average or above size wrists.
- I like it (more than I was expecting)
The watch is small (appropriate for a woman or a man with small wrist like me) and light. It is very easy to use and has a lot of functions for such a low cost watch (2 time zones + date, an alarm, a timer, a stop watch, a recovery summary screen and, obviously, the hear rate).
The strap is very narrow but seems resistent and ideal for running as it allows air circulation in the wrist.
All in all, I really like it. More than I was expecting.

- Does the job
I have had the watch for a few weeks now and am pretty happy with it. It is a nice looking watch so I don't have any problems wearing it full time rather than just for sport sessions. The chest strap is a little snug and I am at the limit of the strap length with a 42 inch chest. You might struggle to fit it if you are any bigger. It is important to wet the sensors on the chest strap as on one occasion the signal was not picked up by the watch - but otherwise it functions well. The watch itself is fairly easy to set up and find your way around but it appears as if you can't save activities and data on the watch - however this may be due to not having read the instructions fully! All in all, it does what it is meant to do. It counts calories and you can set your heart rate parameters for the exercise.

I bought the Timex as a replacement for my MIO HRM watch as it stopped working properly. I like this watch as its easy to set up and use. But I havent used the HRM as I'm not fond of the wearing the chest strap. All in all I am very happy with the Timex watch.

I wanted a strapless monitor so this was seemingly the only available option. Given that man has walked on the moon I didn't think it was too far fetched to believe a watch size unit is capable of monitoring pulse etc without the cumbersome chest strap. I quickly read the description of this item and it seemed that the unit would do the trick.

Be warned that although the description says it monitors calories, it actually only monitors heart rate (with constant manual activation) via a finger sensor on the front. You will need to refer to a chart to work out calories burned.

The unti has some nice features and could be quite useful in some circumstances, but it is not a fully automated monitor, so you may want to look more toward the top end of the market.

- Useful
My husband really likes this product - he uses it as his everyday watch and also when he goes to the gym. There is a wide range of functionality on it which gives him everything he needs. He is quite severely asthmatic and this product has proved useful for him when exercising in monitoring his heart rate etc as this helps him keep his breathing under control.

We have knocked a star off purely because it looks a bit boring and chunky - something more modern and slimline would be better - but overall for the reliability and functionality we would recommend this.
- A little complex for the impatient!
This is actually a really good little piece of kit. It is accurate and fairly easy to use; having said that, when I received this it was one of those occasions when I needed to actually read the instructions :) however for the impatient like me it is still fairly self explanatory. I am by no means a fitness fanatic however I recently lost a fairly large amount of weight through diet and exercise and I have enjoyed and been very gratified by seeing how my resting and heart rate on exertion have changed. All in all a nice piece of equipment and does what it says on the tin.
- Not Working
I bought this watch to use it as a heart rate monitor when exercise. I never had such a watch so I choose a relative cheap one. Unfortunately, the heart rate functionality is not working as the watch is not able to find and connect with the chest strap. I tried everything as in the manual and I even replace the chest strap battery but still not working. The problem is that sending back the watch and asking for replacement is not worth as I am not from UK and shipping would cause me a high amount relative to the watch price.
Don't buy this watch, better go with a well known brand even if you will have to pay much more.

The Ultrasport Multirun 200 is a great little watch packed with many more features than anything else its competitors have to offer at this price. For that price though you get a cheap feeling plastic watch with instructions in German only. I'm not fluent in German and have emailed the company requesting English instructions. Watch this space. I also want to know to what depth the watch is waterproof. If it really is. If I am unable to ascertain these things I may return the item. On the plus side without instructions the watch is fairly easy to understand/work out. The heart rate monitor works and you can easily set it to beep if you are out of your target performance zone. There is a log for ascent/descent, max/min temp etc. And you can get recall on the previous HR info max, min, average for your workout. Plus other standard watch features. I like it but I don't love it. I like what it can do but I don't like the way it is presented in its cheap exterior which I'm concerned may...

Good product that does well what promises. I enjoy it a lot even if I had to replace it after 4 months for a display malfunctioning - but it comes with 2 year warranty. Excellent and professional feedback from Ultrasport customer service. Replacement done quickly. Remarkable quality-price ratio.

Simple addition of key to your iPhone enables the heart rate monitor to be used. I use it on my iPhone 4s and it works a treat. Only downside is that any of the apps to use with your training programme don't allow manual input for gym sessions so you can only use it in conjunction with your GPS to get your proper training zones.
- Don't do kettlebell snatches without it now.
A great bit of kit were I can do high repetition kettlebell snatches and see on my Iphone why I feel the way I do. This helps me to dig deeper. Also interesting to see improvements in heart rate.

- I needn't have worried
I needed a heart-rate monitor watch to go with my rowing machine and I wanted something that would work with most gym equipment. After doing some research it seemed that Polar and Beurer models were going to be the most suitable (lots of people report that their chest-bands work at the gym).

I didn't want to spend money on something that I could only wear at the gym, though. Most of these types of watches are pretty big and plasticy - I wanted something that wouldn't embarrass me if I wore it elsewhere.

I was worried that this thing was going to be too big on the wrist - I found a picture on the net of someone wearing one and it looked massive. Fortunately, it must have just been someone with a very small wrist.

The first impression you get of it is that it's both beautiful and well-engineered. I wasn't sure what to expect from the display - you can't appreciate how it looks from pictures. The digits and lettering seem to (almost be) silver on a...

- A basic watch to start your journey into HRMs
Although the watch is easy to operate and the number of items it measures it pretty good, it lacks memory storage capacity. It only records 10 laps times which, for any decent interval training session means that you are not recording the final parts of your session and it does not record heart rate only giving the heart rate at the time the athlete remembers to look at the watch. Thus heart rate analysis for max and average after a session is not possible and there is no split/lap vs heart rate measuring function.

The stop watch figures are clear and easily read whilst the HR monitor watch figures are OK at hour and minute level whilst the seconds need an eagle eye and some deciphering.

This is a reasonable watch for people just starting out using heart rate monitors and yet, once you realise you want more than just thee basics this watch falls short.
- Missing basic feature?
Works fine, but I don't think it can show average heart rate, which seems like a basic feature.

The wrist watch is kinda bulky (I'm a 24 year old boy with medium sized wrists .. I think), but I don't mind wearing it loose on my wrist. So it's not a deal breaker, but it could really be smaller.

- A load of rubbish
This product is useless beyond words and highly frustrating. To set the calorie counter is near impossible and shuts off after a while even though I'm running, the stop watch is useless, you cannot just press stop and then resume counting, you have to hold one button for a second and then another button for a second and then it just resets itself, whats the point in that? The buttons are highly sensitive, if you put the watch on the side it just keeps beeping where the buttons are touching the surface. I would not recommend this product unless you like a lot of stress. A waste of money, annoying thing is I accidentally deleted the email where I purchased it from, and now cannot get my money back.

- completely revitalised and improved my workouts
I did not think that such a small think would have such a big impact on my workouts, but the change has been phenominal. I suffer from "over thinking" often when I am running my brain kicks in and whines about how I am tired should stop, you can't go on etc, with the HRM i can visually see just how hard I'm working if I need to increase or decrease the intensity, basically the little voice has been silenced and I now get on with good quality workouts.
The chest belt is comfortable, I don't even notice it but as a girl it does tend to just sit under my bra so I don't realise its there.
The watch is not unpleasent I even wear it by itself as a watch when I am going out, the strap is sturdy the band is comfortable and its small enough to be quite normal even on a lady.
Over all I think a HRM is probably one of the best exersize tools somebody could purchase, I didn't want something that required a degree in rocket science and I didnt want something that was so simple it...

I bought this item after some online research, I had to replace my previous monitor (also a polar) after it was stolen during a security search. The new monitor was actually cheaper than the original, once purchased it arrived within 2 days, most impressive. The watch part is not too large and can be worn comfortably. The set up is straight forward, date of birth and weight being the two pieces of data required. The chest band is similar to my previous model except that the transmitter attaches to the chest strap with poppers and is a little on the large size although once fitted and on your chest it is not noticeable. The item is simple to use, press once and it shows your heart rate, a second press when you begin your exercise begins to record your heart rate and length of exercise time, there is also an upper part that can show either the lap you are on, the current calorie count or the time. - Nice upgrade on my RS300X - Improvements made by Polar...
Reason for replacing my RS300X was due to the strap always breaking and being replaced which did take some of the gloss away from the watch but was always a dependable friend for my runs.

Ok, onto the RCX5, my first opinion is the watch is much larger than the RS300X after turning it on it prompted me to input the usual information, time, date, and profile info like weight, height, metrics used (note to all new to the Polar buttons on right are up and down, red button is select, bottom left is back and top right is light).

Nice upgrade on the wearlink from my old RS300X, not sure this makes sense when your a guy strapping the wearlink on its more comfortable (as comfortable a strap can be for a guy) think the material has been changed and even in water (I sweat a lot during my runs but I do believe polar intended it to survive swimming) haven't tried that but if you sweat a lot it'll still communicate with your watch fine!

The item you will receive is in fact the 2010 model year, correctly identified under the "product details" as 90038975 - or in other words it does not have the same carbon fibre effect bezel you see in the picture and I should know - i received one!

This device links up with a number of popular running apps and I've tried it with Runkeeper, iRunner, Endomondo, runtastic pro and Runmeter. It was easy to pair with the phone and software and has worked brilliantly.

I've bought to be use specifically with iphone 4s and I'm not disappointed. It is lightweight,nicely and tight fitting around chest, but not uncomfortable.When running you forget quickly you have it on. I have never had problems with connection with iphone 4s, once set up for the very first time it keeps connection on, just make sure your bluetooth is switched on. I've used it for MyMap app. at first, but then switched to Runmeter which i find more useful. Highly recommended for serious runners and beginners.
