I bought this HRM back in 2009 and after using it regularly for a year and half I felt compelled to provide a review. Before buying this HRM I had owned a couple of Polar HRMs but got fed up with having to return the watch to Polar to get the battery replaced and even more fed up with having to replace the belt when it's battery expired. I was close to buying a Suunto HRM but after reading a number of German test sites I went for a Sigma HRM as they were very well rated.
Pros:
1. Accurate and reliable HRM
2. Wide range of heart rate programmes
3. HRM watch and belt are comfortable to wear
4. Batteries in the HRM watch and belt can be replaced by the user
5. Digital signal not susceptible to interference
6. Value for money especially on Amazon
7. Sturdy watch strap (as compared to my previous Polar HRM)
Cons:
1. Watch face scratches easily
2. Nothing else

The watch is easy to set up even though the manual is poorly written, it doesn't take a genius to set up. The chest strap is comfortable and easy to use, the watch-strap sync took a few minutes but it's worked fine since then. The watch gives a heart rate, max HR, Average HR, Calories and time during a session but I'm not sure whether the heart rate and calories given are accurate.

For the price you can't knock it, it works well if you want to monitor your training and make sure you're pushing yourself to the desired level.
