I did not think that such a small think would have such a big impact on my workouts, but the change has been phenominal. I suffer from "over thinking" often when I am running my brain kicks in and whines about how I am tired should stop, you can't go on etc, with the HRM i can visually see just how hard I'm working if I need to increase or decrease the intensity, basically the little voice has been silenced and I now get on with good quality workouts.
The chest belt is comfortable, I don't even notice it but as a girl it does tend to just sit under my bra so I don't realise its there.
The watch is not unpleasent I even wear it by itself as a watch when I am going out, the strap is sturdy the band is comfortable and its small enough to be quite normal even on a lady.
Over all I think a HRM is probably one of the best exersize tools somebody could purchase, I didn't want something that required a degree in rocket science and I didnt want something that was so simple it...

I bought this item after some online research, I had to replace my previous monitor (also a polar) after it was stolen during a security search. The new monitor was actually cheaper than the original, once purchased it arrived within 2 days, most impressive. The watch part is not too large and can be worn comfortably. The set up is straight forward, date of birth and weight being the two pieces of data required. The chest band is similar to my previous model except that the transmitter attaches to the chest strap with poppers and is a little on the large size although once fitted and on your chest it is not noticeable. The item is simple to use, press once and it shows your heart rate, a second press when you begin your exercise begins to record your heart rate and length of exercise time, there is also an upper part that can show either the lap you are on, the current calorie count or the time. bought this as a fathers day pressie, its been great so far, used on every run and a great way to monitor fitness/time/speed/heartrate. i was unsure which to buy as there are so many on offer but if you are looking for a heart rate monitor and watch for a runner this is the one.
